Parents this is just a reminder that Beginning Band Camp will be held on Saturday, August 26th (tomorrow) from 11:30-4:00 p.m. at Catalina Foothills High School Auditorium. Parent instrument care classes will be held during the camp. It is very helpful for parents to understand basic instrument care and maintenance needs of their student’s instrument.
Woodwinds (flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, saxophone) 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Brass (trumpet, horn, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba) 2:00 - 3:00 pm

The entry code for Orange Grove Middle School is L2D196310. There is also a parent meeting at Catalina Foothills High School this Wednesday at 7pm. This is an informational meeting for parents. Students may attend but they are not required to be there. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Chilson.
Welcome back to school! Students will not need instruments until Saturday 8/26. Beginning band starts by learning music theory and about the different properties of all of the band instruments. There is a parent meeting at Catalina Foothills High School on Wednesday 8/16. More information will be passed out to your student on Friday. Please do not rent an instrument or have your student begin playing until they have met with Mr. Chilson.
The spring concert announcements have been attached to the Online Forms and Docs page of the website for your convenience. They will also be sent to you in an email today and a hard copy will be given to your student during class today. Please let Mr. Chilson know if you have any questions or any conflicts as soon as possible.
Recording links for the new songs that students have been given are posted on the band website. Please allow your students to use these to help their practice. The links can be found by following the link below.
Letters about our concert on February 28th have been sent home with students. Please ask about these tonight. You can also find a copy in the Online Forms and Documents tab on this website.
Today students are getting a letter to give to parents tonight about our concert coming up on October 5th. Please check their backpacks when they get home. This letter can also be found on this website under the Online Forms and Docs page and it will also be emailed home. If you have any conflicts please email Mr. Chilson ASAP.
This is a reminder that there will be a parent meeting tonight at 7 pm in the CFHS auditorium. At this meeting we will discuss the ins and outs of beginning band. The Auditorium is located on the North side of the CFHS campus near the front office. If you have any questions please email Mr. Chilson.
